INTRODUCTION:

The Mysterious Spin bowler “Abrar Ahmad” was born in Karachi. His family belongs to Shinkiari, a poor village in the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This young guy had a great interest in Cricket and he made his interest a Passion. He started playing Tape ball Cricket at Karachi Lines Area.

ABRAR AHMAD FIRST-CLASS DEBUT:

This mysterious spinner came into action in First-Class Cricket in 2020. He played from Sindh, against Northern Punjab in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2020.

This magical spinner, now has 76 wickets at an average of 25.56 in 26 first-class innings, with top match stats of 11-63.

HIS ROLE MODEL IN CRICKET:

Once Abrar Ahmad was asked by his Coach Saqlain Mushtaq that “Do you know about Abdul Qadir?”

He said,” Who is Abdul Qadir? I don’t know about him and never heard about him”. He said at the National Academy of Pakistan, Lahore approximately 5 years ago.

This statement clearly shows us that this mysterious spinner belongs to such a timid and poor-class family that he never heard about the Legendary Leg Spin bowler, Abdul Qadir.

FIRST CALL-UP IN TEST CRICKET:

Abrar Ahmad got his first call in Test Cricket after his incredible performance in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2022-23.

He made outstanding performances throughout the Tournament and was rewarded by achieving the “Best Bowler of the Tournament” Award. He led the leaderboard with 43 wickets in seven matches, averaging 21.95.

After losing the first Test match with England, the Pakistan Cricket team decided to do some changes to team. This occurs in the debut of Abrar Ahmad in Test Cricket. In his First Debut in Test cricket against England, he bowled a superb spell. He took 7 wickets in the first innings giving 114 runs.

He surprised everyone by showing his outclass skills. Abrar sweeps away the most dangerous top and middle order of the England Team. Abrar Ahmad was so dangerous that he becomes the First Pakistani spinner to get 7 wickets in the opening session of the Test match.

ENGLAND OPENER REFUSED TO SAY HIM MYSTERIOUS SPINNER:

Duckett declined to refer to Abrar as a "mystery" spinner. He stated that they will be better prepared to face him in the second innings.

"There's no true mystery about that," the opener remarked, "but he bowled well today." "I'm sure we'll have strategies for the second inning, though I'm not sure it might be blocking it."
